The BYBLIOS Team at Handimatica 2024: Training and Networking

On Friday, November 29, the BYBLIOS team participated in Handimatica, a landmark exhibition and conference dedicated to digital technologies for an inclusive society. It is conceived and organized by the ASPHI Foundation Onlus. Held in Bologna, this fair is a unique opportunity to connect with experts in the field, explore innovative solutions, and share best practices at both national and European levels.

Our team’s presence at Handimatica was strategic to advancing the goals of Work Package 4, which focuses on designing and implementing pilot internships, and Work Package 5, dedicated to devolop guidelines for new libraries.

During the event, we participated in workshops and training sessions to deepen our understanding of digital tools and inclusive methodologies essential for the success of our pilot internships. Handimatica also provided an invaluable platform for engaging with other professionals working in the field of inclusive employment for people with disabilities.

These exchanges enriched our pedagogical approach and helped identify new ways to tailor the professional e-portfolio developed as part of the BYBLIOS project. This tool continues to evolve thanks to dialogue with experts and stakeholders.

One of our key objectives at Handimatica was to broaden our network of collaborators. Connecting with companies, public institutions, and associations at the fair opened new avenues for partnerships that will strengthen the outcomes of the project and maximize its impact.

Collaboration with other sector actors is essential to reinforce the inclusive approach of the BYBLIOS project, ensuring that the skills and experiences gained by participants during internships are recognized and valued in real workplace settings.

The BYBLIOS team remains dedicated to promoting the social and professional inclusion of people with cognitive disabilities. Events like Handimatica are vital milestones in this journey, providing essential opportunities for learning and collaboration to achieve our goals.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone we met at the fair who made this experience so meaningful!
