A new adventure!
Hello world! The BYBLIOS Project has started! Byblios is a European KA2 project that aims to promote inclusion and diversity in libraries.
The BYBLIOS project works to make school libraries an environment to boost up skills in people with disabilities. What will we do?
We will start asking questions. How about libraries as spaces for inclusion? Which skills do librarian need to become active promoters of inclusion? We plan to develop a participatory action research to reflect with librarians and policy makers on their views and needs.
We will then try to imagine and test a process. We will develop a protocol for inclusion of people with disabilities as workers in libraries. We will test in in 5 countries and try to experiment a new way of promoting career development of people with disabilities. We will organise and run 10 internships and while doing so, we’ll develop a dedicated training for librarians and an innnovative e-portfolio to support the learning experience of the people involved.
Last but now least, let’s think of the future of libraries. This will be a visionary action to create and design together new ideas of libraries. We will trigger and explore the potential of libraries to be community hubs and spaces for inclusion.
This blog will be the digital space where we will share all the project activities, events, opportunities and stories.
Welcome on board in this new adventure!
